One thing that really thrills me is the increasing numbers of cargo bikes I daily see around town.
The other day I spotted this pure example of excellent engineering and craftsmanship by Wagener, Mogensen and Munch with Copenhagen based Butchers and Bicycles. The only 3-wheeler – as far as I know – that solved the problem of the unnatural displacement of the mass gravity when turning sharply.
Fighting the centripetal force I’ve noticed that many 3-wheel drivers with their body will have to adjust for the displacement going a little right when actually turing left – fair to say an unnatural movement of the body in a key moment.
The licensed carving system of Butchers and Bicycles avoid this defect of the 3-wheeler and emphasizes instead the pleasure of driving.
Knowing the enormous effort and hard work developing this amazing bike in the Meat town of Copenhagen, it is a delight to see this bike moving smoothly around town – even in more provincial parts of Denmark.
